Phils broadcaster Harry Kalas, perhaps the greatest baseball announcer ever, died today.
As Whitey would say "It's hard to believe..."
Had the Phils on yesterday while making Easter dinner, partly so I could hear Harry's voice. It's been a part of my life since childhood.
I'm heartbroken.
In this November 2006 photo, Kalas is picking out raffle ticket winners at a fundraiser for special needs children at Price Lanes in Prices Corner.

Ever heard of Vin Scully? With all due respect, Harry was a distant 2nd
Yes, I have. But I was wild about Harry. He had been the soundtrack of my spring and summer for as long as I could remember.
