Shed some clothes at the Green Room

Did you know that the Hotel du Pont is on Facebook?

(My colleague Ryan Cormier recently pointed it out to me. Seriously. He doesn't spend all his time in Dewey Beach. Things you don't know about Ryan: He's a classy guy.)

And there's a new Facebook post:

Today at 4:11 p.m., it was announced that the Green Room has relaxed its dress code.

"Jackets for gentleman are no longer required, and 'business casual' is now appropriate for all meals for all days of the week.

"Of course, one may still 'Dress for Dinner' if one prefers."

The HDP relaxed its dress code? IN 2008?? LOL! I don't know what's more amazing- that they just did this, or that they're still open for business. Delaware, tell me one place you'd go in the state where you'd comply with a "jacket required" code and get a great dining experience. HINT: rhymes with "hero". There aren't any. Who's running the show there? Yet, watch how they endlessly accrue the "best brunch" and favorite "special occasion" accolades. Funny.
