Where do you go for soup?
As in get in the car, drive and sit down in a restaurant or local eatery for a steamy bowl of utter deliciousness?
I'd go out of my way for the tomato garlic parmesan soup at Cajun Kate's at the Booth's Corner Farmers Market. And all of Hockessin knows about the pumpkin mushroom soup at the Back Burner restaurant and the Back Burner to Go.
But I want to hear some other ideas... Where do you go "bowling"? What places have the best food in a bowl - i.e. chili, stews and soups.

The Front Porch on 13th and King has delicious Chicken and Dumpling soup. Presto has good Butternut Squash soup. I can't wait to read some of the other comments -- I'm always looking for good soup!
I recently had an awesome chicken vegetable soup at Mazzella's on Philadelphia Pike. It had the richest chicken broth base, very flavorful for such a simple soup. I've also had the minestrone & pasta fagioli there and they were also super. A very strange place for good home made eats, including soup, is in Sussex County just outside of Bethany Beach. Hockers Deli on Rt. 26 in Millville at the intersection with Rt. 17 has amazing food. Their fried chicken, mac&cheese and other comfort foods are just like mom makes and their soups are fantastic. I especially love the bean & ham. This is an undiscovered gem and I really don't want to let the secret out!
Don't worry - by posting here your secret is safe
Washington Ale House - best beer cheese soup. Masamato's (Rt 202) - amazing citrus broth soup that comes in a teapot and sake cups.
The Country Cricket Cafe, just over the line in landenberg (rt. 896) has AWESOME cream of mushroom.
I like the coconut soup at Jeenwong Thai Cuisine in the Wilmington Riverfront Market. You can get it with either chicken or shrimp and it's perfect on a cold winter day.
I love the lemongrass soup ("Canh Chua Xa")at Saigon Vietnam restaurant in Newark Shopping Center.
